“Helping siblings living at the Nashville Rescue Mission to choose new school shoes during their HERO back-to-school shopping event was a highlight of my year. Watching kids who were going through a challenging time being silly and trying on shoes and helping each other to narrow down choices and colors to pick JUST the right ones for school – it’s what kids should be doing the week before school starts and it warmed my heart to have a small part in making it happen for them.”
